Thereby anyone found guilty of aiding, directly or indirectly, the operation of online casinos within the jurisdiction of the state will have to pay up to 1 million euros as fine. In these conditions, South Africa is starting to take little steps by prosecuting anyone found to be supporting online gambling activities. These activities include punters and players participating in illegal internet gambling activities, online casino operators offering internet gambling, individuals or organizations facilitating on the provisions of internet gambling like internet service providers and financial establishments like banks. An appeal is expected to be passed to the court to alter its decision but none has been made yet.
